For: Sellers adding a second platform.

Not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok or Whatnot.

Steps

  1. Keep one stock count. One SKU per product across both platforms, counted on the shelf.
  2. Split stock before each show. Decide which units are for which platform, or update counts right after each sale.
  3. Remember Temporary Listings don't sync. TikTok auction Temporary Listings don't sync to your store or Shopify.
  4. Plan one packing routine. Both platforms want a carrier scan within 2 business days, so pack both in the same session.
  5. Track profit per platform. TikTok's fee includes shipping; Whatnot's commission doesn't. Payout timing differs too.
  6. Check each platform's rules before streaming to both at once.

Common Mistakes

  • Two spreadsheets that never agree.
  • Selling the same last unit on both platforms.
  • Assuming TikTok cash arrives as fast as Whatnot cash.

Checklist

  • One SKU list for both
  • Stock split or synced before each show
  • Temporary Listing sales subtracted
  • One packing session for both
  • Profit tracked per platform
  • Platform rules checked before streaming to both

Before you simulcast: Whatnot's Community Guidelines don't allow using Whatnot to promote shows on other platforms, so check both platforms' current rules before streaming one show to both apps.
