Steps

  1. Know the clock starts at delivery. Settlement counts from the day the order is delivered, not the day it sells.
  2. Find your tier. New or probationary shops settle 31 days after delivery. Established shops default to 8 days.
  3. Raise your Shop Performance Score. At 3.5 or higher you settle 5 days after delivery. At 4.0 or higher, 1 day.
  4. Match your bank name exactly. The bank account name must match your onboarding name exactly. Only the shop owner can change it.
  5. Plan for refunds. Refunds come out of your balance or your next payout. The minimum payout is $1.

Example: one order

Example: an order is delivered on Monday, Oct 5. A new shop settles about 31 days later, in early November. The same shop at an SPS of 4.0 would settle the next day.

Common Mistakes

  • Budgeting stock for the next LIVE with money that won't settle for a month.
  • A bank name that doesn't exactly match onboarding.
  • Assuming every shop has a reserve. TikTok applies reserves only to shops with high issue rates.

Checklist

  • Settlement tier checked
  • Cash plan covers 31 days for a new shop
  • Bank name matches onboarding exactly
  • Refunds counted against next payout
  • SPS target set for faster settlement
