How This Is Calculated

Method

  • Show contribution = revenue − COGS − fees − giveaways − allocated labor − fulfillment − attributable refunds.
  • When a platform report is imported, its net effect on your balance is used as the starting point and the fees, seller-paid shipping and refunds already inside it are not deducted a second time.
  • Contribution per order shipped = show contribution ÷ number of orders shipped, counting orders rather than units.
  • A positive order count is required for that output. If the count is missing or zero, contribution per order is shown as unavailable rather than as zero.
  • A blank cost is reported as missing. It is never treated as zero, and any result with a missing cost is labelled incomplete.
  • No platform fee rates are assumed on your behalf — fees come from your own statement or your own imported report.

What It Excludes

  • General overhead such as rent, utilities, software and insurance.
  • Salaried time not attributable to a specific show.
  • Taxes of any kind.
  • Business net profit — this measures one show only.

How We Calculate It

  • Revenue is entered after discounts and cancellations but before refunds.
  • A unit is counted in either COGS or giveaways, never both.
  • Only labor you can tie to a single show is attributed to it.
  • Cancelled or fully refunded orders are excluded from the order count.
